Project Life 2014: Introduction Pages and Week 1

It's only fitting that on February 3rd I should finally discuss my plan for Project Life this year. Things definitely got a little crazy last month, especially with my cold. I began working on my 2014 Project Life album last week, and I seriously am still so in love with this project.

What am I planning for 2014:
  • I am overall planning a weekly format, but will remain flexible if I want to include some pocket pages that focus on just one story, or one event.
  • I will probably continue to use mostly Design A page protectors, but also will be very flexible to mixing it up more
  • I plan on including more digital brushes, enlarged photos, and typing or writing directly onto my photos
  • I will continue to print at home, it seems to work best for me. That being said I am also eager to try Persnickety Prints since I hear such great things about their print quality.
  • Play around with techniques more…misting, stamping, embossing, watercolor, stitching, embroidery, fabric, and more fun memorabilia, and kids art work and treasures.
  • I love this idea by Allison Waken to focus one week on a particular person, I would love to incorporate this in Project Life this year, one insert for every family member ( at least the human variety.)
  • Encourage the hubby to take more photos. He is not a photo guy at all, but I love the photos he does take and the memorabilia he remembers to bring home.
  • Include more interactive elements: Flip pages, tags that pull our of pockets, secret journaling, but at the same time I can omit all of that and just stick with tried and true and what's quick and easy if that is what I have time for.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you have any questions about Project Life or now I completed these pages, please do not hesitate to ask.

I will be back later this week with more scrappy goodness, scrapbook organization, and other fun items. I hope to see you then.

    1. Exactly Mendie. I don't do cold. One day a year of snow is great for me. The kids were out for four days and this digital brush just worked so well, I had to use it.

  13. I love Persnickety Prints, but print mostly at home with my Selphi. Your pages are beautiful! I use lots of flips and hidden journaling in my albums. I may try a week of each of us, too, in an insert, but with 9 of us total, I am not ready to commit, yet. Happy PLing!
