Layout Share: My Daisy Girl

Hello and Happy Wednesday. Thanks for popping in today, I have a layout to share with you based on some pretty incredible color inspiration I shared on Instagram a few weeks ago. The top photo below are stacks of fabrics at Joanne Fabrics. I just adore this combination of peach, red, radiant orchid, and pops of green, and the florals just scream spring. Please keep reading to find out how I used this Instagram photo to make a fun and spring-feeling layout.

After taking the photo, I used this photo as my guide when choosing the products below. I pulled out all kinds of things (probably 2-3 times more than I needed, ) but it is so much easier to create when it is all pulled together before hand. It was also super fun to take a photo of my procured supplies and just think about my project for a few days until I decided which way I wanted to go with it. If you have never tried gathering all of your supplies beforehand, I highly recommend it. It can also be highly inspirational just finding a fun way to photograph your supplies together. If you give it a try, I would love it if you link me to your combination. :-)
Next I made a collage out of a variety of photos of my beloved dog Daisy. I then followed a sketch posted at Studio Calico earlier this week, and 90 minutes later this is what I had.

Thank you so much for stopping by life, scrapbook, repeat today. I appreciate you being here. I also appreciate all of my new readers, followers, and commenters, along with my longtime followers. Thanks so much everyone!

This layout started with some layers of papers, a few tags, and then I just had fun embellishing, misting, stamping, and sewing buttons. Who doesn't love buttons? Seriously. I will never grow tired of them. I am also loving these floral rub-ons, and all of the great rub-ons available as of late. I sure missed those guys. Anyone else remember those awesome Heidi Swapp alphabet rub-ons from yesteryear? I sure miss them. I ran out about two years ago. Those were so much fun!

I linked this layout over at Paper Issues. Their latest issue is "Tip-toe Through the Tulips," and I interpreted this challenge by using lots of spring and floral elements. I always love their challenges. Thanks for another great one Cassie Box and Paper Issues.

I will be back tomorrow with another installment of Crafty Organization Thursday and this time we are looking at different ways to store all of our small paper pads. I sure hope to see you back. Until next time...

Happy Scrappin'
